I purchased the game in October and played every chance I got. There was a meaning behind every choice... a single difference in dialogue could mean a different vessel of the Princess visited. Every time you approached the cabin, and interacted with the Princess, you would die and be cast into an alternate world and approach the cabin once again. However, each time you entered the basement which housed the trapped Princess, she would be different than how you remembered...
Her appearance was a reflection of your past actions and words, and she responded back with love, hate, skepticism, aggression, indifference, or even hunger. She could be a Princess, a Beast, a Witch, an Apotheosis, or even your Nightmare.
I fell in love with the game and the messages it had for me. I believe it taught me how to be a better person, and appreciate people for who they are, no matter their form. I've never resonated so much with a character as the Princess, and I think it would be very difficult to find a game that allowed me to expel my emotions, after months of bottling them up.
